Tyflokabinet provides several grades of education to the instructors from TyfloCentrum organizations. This enables them to get knowledge of teaching visually impaired people how to operate the sophisticated electronic aids. The education consists of three grades.
Instructors beginning their practice are included in the elementary education and soon undergo the elementary examination. If they pass it successfully, they are allowed to advance to the 2nd grade.
This education is a long process. The instructor's knowledge and promotion is continuously verified by regular advanced examinations. If successfully passed, the instructor gets a certificate that has a certain validity (maximum: 3 years). This validity corresponds with the grade achieved by the instructor during the examination.
This grade, consisting of various specialized examinations (software magnifiers, screenreaders, etc.), is not obligatory - unlike the two grades mentioned above. But, a successful result proves the instructor's qualification and supports his/her professionality. If an instructor wants to be included in the special education, he/she must have passed the advanced examination achieving only the grade 1 or 2 ("excellent" or "very good").
Beside the "traditional" ways of preparing for examinations (in the form of lectures, one-day trainings, etc.), Tyflokabinet can also offer, particularly to the beginning instructors, some courses accredited by Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports.
