Who are we?

Tyflokabinet Prague - the Methodical Centre of Electronic Compensatory Aids, formerly translated as National Centre of Adaptive Technology, in further text as "Tyflokabinet", was the professional technical department of the IT Section of the Czech Blind United. After the implemented restructuring of our organization, the result of which is a total abolition of all sections, is Tyflokabinet now one of many departments of SONS again. Nevertheless, two things are still valid from now on: The full name of the department and the high-quality level of services. Our main activities concentrate on teaching visually impaired people how to operate their sophisticated electronic compensatory aids based on ICT.

Tyflokabinet is also contacted by other subjects that deal with visually impaired people (e. g. schools, authorities, firms, etc.).
